Wednesday morning we headed off to Pompeii. 😉 This was actually an exhibit Spock and I saw last year when the British Museum broadcast live via Fathom. But I’m glad I didn’t bother to look into it before or we might have skipped this entirely. I haven’t been to the CSC in probably 25 years (Wow, I have been in SoCal entirely too many years.). I had no idea they even had this fancy new building out there. It was a lot of fun. The kids all enjoyed the Pompeii exhibit. I was relieved the smutty stuff was kept locked up so the kids couldn’t see it (unlike the British Museum’s broadcast where the, well, I can’t describe what happened in terms my nice friends can deal with).
I had originally intended to leave Babycakes home since I thought he’d be bored with the exhibit AND it cost so danged much. I’m glad I didn’t though. Speaking of cost, you do not need to purchase tickets online if you go on a weekday. It’s $2/ticket to do so. Is this a union thing, btw? I see this everywhere now. You are saving the company the cost of hiring a person or even printing out your tickets…anyway. Don’t buy your tickets in advance and save your money for parking. 🙂
A perk for the kids was that during lunch we recognized the rose garden as the filming location of Scarecrow & Mrs. King S3E1. I guess that’s one perk of living in LA. You can visit shot sights of the only two TV shows you watch. 😀
