It’s been a while, a very, very long while, since I’ve been to San Diego. Truth be told, I wasn’t even sure I would like it there now. So many things have changed in my life. I’ve been forced to re-examine everything I think and believe and to come up with a reason why. Is it because someone else made me think that way. Is it because I was trying to impress someone or get their attention that I like that thing? Or, is it because this is who I really am?
I’ve discovered some very startling things in the course of this examination, not the least of which is, I hate all sports but baseball. OK, maybe hate is a strong word. How about, if they got rid of all sports except baseball, the world would be a better place. 😀
So, when my friend invited me and the boys to go to the San Diego Zoo, I wasn’t sure what to expect when we got there. But the kids are free this month and she had a pass that allows her to bring in a guest, all I had to do was drive us there. I couldn’t pass it up, if for no other reason than I knew the kids would like it.
I was nervous as we got off the 163 and headed toward the Park. But rather quickly those nerves dissipated and when we arrived I knew my feelings for my favorite city had not changed at all. 🙂
(Lots of photos, in no particular order.)
