It’s a little difficult for me to get behind the anti/pro-Halloween Evangelical debate. I think that’s because I’ve seen Christians do such great evil without ever celebrating Halloween that this issue seems so petty. So we do Halloween here. Some of us are more into it than others. It’s Farmer Boy’s favorite holiday. He likes the fun of jump-scaring every little kid who comes to our door. It’s not something my kids are allowed to do in the house so he gets his need filled one day a year. 😉
We went down to the farm to pick up some pumpkins (and feed the piglets) in the morning.
Later we set to carving.
Even later we went to our church’s Fall Festival. Babycakes changed his costume…again. Decided at the last minute he wanted to be Bumblebee.
After we picked Farmer Boy up from the farm we went home to get ready to go out and Trick-or-Treat. Mr. Great-heart and Spock made their own costumes from stuff we had. And, I didn’t realize before, I didn’t get a pick of Spock. 😦 BC, again, changed his costume. This is actually normal. I can’t recall a Halloween he went out with his first choice of costume.
Here are the Jack-o-lanterns all lit up.
